According to some "leaked" slides, AMD's first 40nm GPU core, the RV470 will debut on the mid range ATI Radeon HD 4770 somewhere next month in the USD99 or RM360 price point.
The Radeon HD 4770 boast GDDR5 memory, DirectX 10.1 support, a 750 MHz clock speed, a memoryclock of 800 MHz using a 128-bit memory bus and a frame buffer size of 512MB which produces 960 GLOPs of processing power.
If the current benchmarks ran on the RV470 prototype is to bebelieved, not only will the Radeon HD 4770 be faster than Nvidia's9800GT, it would also be much cheaper. Also note that the cards that are being tested now are still engineering samples running on beta drivers.
